Just managed to get a hold of The Monster Game myself! I had it as a kid and was literally on ebay trying to remember what the game was, and there it was, finishing in a couple of hours! Now I have it and cant wait to play it again, this time with my daughter, but there aren't any instructions and all I can remember is that you had to get all the cardboard pieces before you could crank the body, but I can't remember what the vampire cards do, or the formula. so it's just a lot of cranking at the moment.  If you could post up the instructions, if you have them, It would be so very appreciated by my 7 year old self trying to re-emerge for a couple of hours!

I have recently found my old The Monster Game by Ideal from 1977! Everything is there apart from the instructions and I just can't remember how on earth to play it!!! My daughter loves it, but would love to play it properly with her. If anyone knows how to play it, or even has a copy of the ibstuctions that would be absolutely amazing!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm still trying to find the game Speakin' Spook.  Thanks!

I always loved the Monsters OLD MAID card game! I still have mine in fact.
One of the prizes of my collection are the Mystery Games. I have the set of six (Creature, Phantom, Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy, & Wolf Man) and they are super cool!

I also loved that game with the huge eyeball in the center....Ka-Bala or something like that?

I just had the Barnabas Collins "Dark Shadows" game, and it was hard enough getting other kids to play it with me! Most thought it was "too creepy." ::)

Dark Shadows is the only one I can remember having too...........used to keep the GITD skeleton on my nightstand.
We're all here because we're not all there.

I remember using the cardboard coffin with plastic lid to bury a pet gerbil in, once. I had lost several of the skeleton pieces, so I ended up buying a second game and had a spare coffin.

I bought that same "Dark Shadows" game a few years back at an LA comicbook con, and I still have it.  The only pieces that were missing were the vampire teeth, but to play it with my daughter (when she was seven) it was easy enough to use those cheap plastic vampire teeth you could find at a novelty shop.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

You even have The Mummy too ?!?! Lucky devil! That thing is impossible to find. Would love to see nice pics of it if you are so willing.

I have the other 5 games, as well as a fantasy game of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde I made. But I would love to own the Mummy!

Shameless plug: Please contact me anytime day or night if you consider parting with it ;). Top dollar paid. I know, I know... I have no shame.

I would love to get the Boris Karloff Monster Game and Hasbro Phantom game. Stunning graphics on both.

I take it you mean this Phantom game:

As opposed to this one:

They both of course have stunning graphics!

Yes, the Phantom of the Opera!  However, The Phantom game looks cool too.
