The Phantom Creep

Normally I wouldn't post an active auction, but nobody is going to "get lucky" and get this for cheap so... here it is.

Dan, this might be up your alley. C'mon give 'em a good home!!

Those are pretty good likenesses. Hmmm? Wonder where these were sitting at? What wax museum? Kinda surprised that the bidding is still sitting empty.

How about this guy..

Good lord! That might be the best looking full scale Frank figure I've ever seen! Wow! Wish I had money to burn!

Zowie!  I wish I had a wish that would come true, if wishes came true, I wish.  These would look right at home in the living room here.  Well, someone give'em a good home, won'tcha?

Robert, weren't you recently talking about these big things that you collect and don't have any room for?  I seem to recall a very large fish being the subject of discussion... ;) ;D

raycastile

That is a very serious Frankenstein sculpture!  i don't think I've seen a better one.  It looks like it belongs in a museum, or in the middle of a national monument.

Very beautiful. He looks like he could come to life at any moment, doesn't he? Just imagine having that as a garden statue...

Thanks for the heads up
Correct in that they are a David Lady Karloff and a Alvarez Dracula.
The Mike Hill Frankenstein is THE BEST EVER! I'll dig out sme pics of the sculpture in progress.

The Phantom Creep

Well nobody bought the Lugosi and Karloff figures.

That Frankenstein statue is amazing!!

Having that in your garden would be the coolest.

Uh...Andy...I, uh...was that ME talking about having big things I don't have room for?  Or was it that other memorabilia collector named Robert Taylor?  Ooh, those damn'ed Doppelgangers!  hee hee  But really, now--if I just moved the recliner chair and a couple of curio cabinets, I think I could squeeze in a 7 ft Frankenstein monster, no prob.

I did just get a monogrammed corkscrew from the Vincent Price estate!  No problem fitting that in!  As Tom Lehrer once said, "More!  More!  I'm still not satisfied!"  Of course, he wasn't talking about memorabilia.....

You got it bad, Robert, BAAAD!  That corkscrew sounds really cool, btw.  And a space-saver, too.

Hey all, just came across this thread. I live in southwestern CT.

PAWCATUCK is on the RhodeIsland border which is a good hour 30 mins from me. Still not a far ride though. I have a pickup truck and a station wagon so I can pick these up.

Would anyone be interested in the karloff figure or head?

I was thinking about making an offer of $500 for the pair and keeping the Drac for myself. I would have it rehaired and repainted.

Anyone interested or live in the area?

Eh, too rich for my blood (or bloodmoney, I suppose) and too far away... but excellent figures. I recognized the Alvarez work, and should've known David Lady was the other. Great skill. But auction-wise... what is up with 'Bella Ligosi'?! Talk about someone having what they don't appreciate, haha!
