Cool! I won't be going, so I won't be getting one and I won't be paying $200 ($300, $400) for one on eBay.

I'd rather have Atlantis re-issue one in a square box like the "Glows" were originally released... with just the few glow pieces.  They already re-issued several.  Those were the ones that I got as a kid.

There is an extremely limited Atlantis reissue of the square boxed kits of the Creature, Dracula, and Frankenstein's Monster - perhaps more - but I've never been clear on how they were distributed and if they came with anything besides the glow parts.

I have their Wolfman, Mummy, Phantom, Forgotten Prisoner, Godzilla and King Kong.  They didn't do the three you mentioned.  Are you thinking of Monogram 'Luminators'?

No, as I specified, I was told were produced by Atlantis. The boxes are marked Aurora, if I remember correctly - which Atlantis now owns - and I speculated that they might have been produced as part of securing the trademark on the brand, but was unable to get any further information about them.

I spoke with the guy from Atlantis yesterday and he stated they never did those.  The problem being the Universal licensing.

Unfortunately, the auctions are so old that neither they nor my correspondence with the seller are still viewable - at least not that I can find - but here are the auction ending notices for two of them. The same seller has or had a wholesale account with Atlantis and was liquidating a number of kits below wholesale, including the licensed from Universal Creature reissue Atlantis produced and shipped. It looks like the reproduction boxes were produced by The Toyroom, but supposedly it all from Atlantis. While the glow parts could have come from an original Aurora kit or Monogram reissue, that seems unlikely, and I believe the seller had multiples. Perhaps they were simply the cast off's of manufacturing the Mummy, Wolf Man, and Phantom, since all the glow parts for the monster kits are in one mold?
