New Comic book - Mark Spears Monsters

I just heard about this because they put out an issue for Free Comic Book Day 2025, and the mad rush was on to get the issues that already came out. I was in luck. My shop had issue 1 and 4, and I grabbed the 2 and 3 off of ebay.

The property is set in the 1980s, and features werewolves, mummies, vampires, zombies, and witches with a modern twist.  Spears' takes on the characters were introduced in two Mark Spears Monsters Trading Card series.  The story follows a Monster Slayer from a forgotten era who's pulled back into the realm of the supernatural after an old friend disappears, two detectives investigating a series of grisly murders, and a group of kids who witness what they believe to be their recently deceased neighbor wandering the streets.

I am finally excited about a comic book series outside of those new Universal Monsters ones.
