But you can't see 'em.

Really? I think they look good in the box. Sideshow figures are excellent and so is their packaging.

Yeah, if you prop the lid open, but that's kind of awkward. Window boxes are much better.

I agree, I prefer window boxes to door boxes as well. But, for door boxes the Sideshow ones look good.

That's because they used all the original poster art!  :)

If you're talking about Sideshow, they were 8" and started at $15!  :)

Then first Sideshow 8" I bought were Frankenstein Monster, Mummy, and Wolfman at TRU for $8 each. Now THOSE were the days!  ;)

I know.

In 1998 when they first came out they were $10 or less at most stores. I couldn't believe monster toys that looked that good were that cheap. I bought 2 of each, one set to open and display like statues and one set to leave sealed. I still have them and still display the loose ones on my shelves.

Does seem like the first ones I bought (at TRU) were $10.

Damn, that was quick.

Actually, I just looked and the 12" Sideshow Frank was only $20 bucks -- crazy!

The funny part is: we were complaining about the "inflated srp" back then. I remember it all too well. I was probably in the chorus, lol. 8)
