THE TWELFTH HOUR: The lost sound version of NOSFERATU

In 1930, an attempt was made to upgrade NOSFERATU into a JAZZ SINGER-style silent/talkie hybrid (an flopped) as was attempted with THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Maybe it's just me, but I think that if it were rereleased to the public or at the very least reconstructed with what remains (at least one good print is in a French archive), it would be something monster fans could watch at least once just out of curiosity. I just wanted to see how they weaved all the new stuff in with the footage from eight years before. I would say that, it couldn't have been anywhere near as crummy as THEY SAVED HITLER'S BRAIN!, but I don't want to jinx it.

I would be interested to see it.  I've never seen a (dialogue sound) version of Phantom either.  I'm wondering if there's anything on my Kino Phantom blu-ray. I only popped in the disc and went straight to the 1929 version and haven't checked any extras yet.
