CFTBL Luminator!

   COLLECTION COMPLETED!!! I have been waiting 30 years for this! I grew to love Monogram Luminators and was devastated to learn that they canceled the line before releasing the Creature from the Black Lagoon. However, I never gave up hope that somehow, some way, I would be able to get this last elusive character in this neon format. Now that Atlantis/Super7 has released the Visible Creature in clear plastic, I knew that I could use my artistic skills to customize it and finally complete my collection. I probably spent as much money (or more) on different UV paints; taking days to test each, trying to match color, transparency and fluorescence. It had to closely match the previous ones, not just under a blacklight, but under regular light, as well. Also, this one HAD to be pink, for the sake of symmetry.

    I'm happy to say that my efforts paid off big time: a true OOAK Luminator Creature; the GRAIL of my collection!

Beautiful.  I wasn't a fan of them at the time but have grown to love them.

I was always curious why the picked the neon colors they picked.  I would have picked greenish yellow for Frankenstein myself, and if they had made a Creature I'd have picked that color, too.

Who knows, perhaps Super 7 / Atlantis Models will revive the Luminators line of models and release The Creature officially.  Who knows - maybe they can release them in each of the colors.  Always wanted a Godzilla Luminator to go with the King Kong Luminator.
