'Scary cool score, SpinalRemains. I always kinda liked it as a different take on the character
but as a likeness, it looks more to me like Claude Akins than Glenn Strange.

Spinal Remains

all those weird gorilla movies were a step down from Frankenstein  :P like Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla

Ive always felt the artist used the reissue Glenn Strange for a scriptural  referance

Claude Akins' gorilla movie was "Battle for the Planet of the Apes".

haven't seen that one yet

I recommend all of the Planet of the Apes films from 1968 to 1973. I also recommend watching Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. In my opinion that is the best film out of the five film series.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970). Also a good film.
