My favorite composer is Claude Debussy. No filmmaker could ever create a movie beautiful enough to justify
using his music in the soundtrack. My favorite works of his are Images Pour Orchestre, Jeux, La Mer, and
the one I listen to most often of all:

If you have a favorite, either recent or ancient, do offer a selection.

Back in the '70s, Ravel's "La valse" was great pot smokin' music! Really trippy!  :)

The Bach piece is beautiful. One of my favorites. Connecting it to hard rock, Procol Harum uses part of it in "Repent Walpurgis," and Don Airey incorporates into the Rainbow song "Weiss Heim."

My first exposure to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony was on the NBC Nightly News over fifty years ago. I wrote NBC a letter to learn what the music was that introduced their newscast:

Ludwig van Beethoven' Fifth Symphony - Philadelphia Orchestra
