Received my Color Frankenstein figure today.

Two points:

      1.  The head sculpts look MUCH Better in person - really VERY nice!

      2.  My "7 Inch" figure actually measures 8 inches tall - So it is right in line with the Sideshow figures!

Pretty nice!  :)

Is this the only one they've done, so far?

Only the 2 Franks have released at present.

These real-scan faces definitely look better in hand.  I remember getting the Black Series Grand Moff Tarkin (Can't resist a Cushing figure) because it looked amazing in hand while the pictures were kind of iffy.

The heads are easily positioned in all sorts of natural-looking poses.

Why do you suppose NECA is listing Frank as a 7 inch figure - when he is really 8 inches tall?  I was glad to get the larger toy.

All Neca lines are built at the 7" scale... So "average height" characters will be 7" tall. However, taller characters would be larger than 7" to make them in scale with "average" people at 7", and shorter characters will be smaller than 7". So even though, say, NECA Back to the Future Marty McFly and Karloff Frankie are both in the 7" scale, neither is actually 7" tall so that they can be scaled to each other (Marty being smaller than 7" and Frankie being larger).

Count Zachula

NECA has announced 31 nights of fright, "monstrous" reveals every night of October for 31 days! Hoping to get some UM reveals, especially Dracula!

Doh!

I honestly thought the first one out of the gate was going to be Lugosi Dracula 1931, given the 31 thing. maybe he  will be last then, lol. Hurray for Elvira maniacs though!

Elvira has a new Netflix show and just came out as Bi so there's lots of news surrounding her. Probably a good move on NECA's part to jump on the bandwagon.

Not a huge fan of clothed figures but the likeness is so good I think I may pick this up!

Of all the elderly bags of makeup used to sell beer to stupid guys, elvira is still not my favorite.  >:D

Elvira looks odd on her normal face sculpt tough she looks spot on with the wink face. Then again i wish she was a normal 7" figure instead of a clothed one, she would fit perfectly with all the other horror figures from NECA in 7" scale

Rigth now they reveal Demona and i am extremely happy with her, i hope they reveal all the rest of the Gargoyles and Monsters this month.

Elvira was done by Amok Time in the scale you are seeking a few years back. That may be why they chose to do a retro clothed version. The market seems to have more people interested in buying the "mego" style figures these days than anything else. Nostalgia I suppose.

Looks like only the skirt is cloth. The top looks like plastic.

NECA 31 days of Halloween announcements - it's October 5th, and so far they've only announce an Elvira clothed figure.

Pretty poor so far.
