Carry on Up the Khyber (1969) - Trailer

The Carry On movies are almost always a delight.

:)

Oh groan. So now embedding Youtube videos doesn't work on UMA anymore even when using Firefox as one's browser.

Bill and Ted Face the Music (2020)

Was it good, or were they just a little old to be playing these characters, again?

Based on James Lee Burke's series of best sellers featuring Cajun cop Dave Robichaud:

Heaven's Prisoners (1996) - Trailer

Unlike far too many movies, it can be praised for being a relatively faithful adaptation of the novel.

It was decent. I wouldn't say to rush out to see it but it was a nice break to see a new movie that was strictly made to just have fun.

The Trouble With Harry, 1955 - Harry Worp is found dead on a hilltop outside Highwater, Vermont.  Several of the small town's inhabitants believe they are responsible for his death.

Edmund Gwenn, John Forsythe, Shirley MacLaine (screen debut), Mildred Natwick, Mildred Dunnock, Jerry Mathers and Royal Dano.

Silly bit of stagy comedy from Alfred Hitchcock that I first saw on TV in the 1960's.  I had forgotten all about it, when it was rereleased in 1983.  I saw it then in a small multiplex that also featured the newly released Shirley MacLaine tear-jerker "Terms of Endearment".  I watched them in chronological order and was amused by how MacLaine's cinematic acting had matured.

I watched it for something frothy and colorful.  The Vermont countryside is just gorgeous.

Goofy like "Arsenic and Old Lace", but without the darkness.
