Cyrano de Bergerac, 1951 - Love life of the patron saint of the physically unlovely.

José Ferrer, Mala Powers and a small but touching part by Elena Verdugo.


Ferrer won the Academy Award for best actor for his portrayal of Cyrano.


Reading the play as a child made me cry.  Seeing the movie as a teen made me cry.  My recent re-visit made me cry all over again.
