Any other Uni monsters in that series? I think I've seen others.

Creature is next.

Could someone check whether Hepcat is now a member?

Are you able to do anything that only members can do?

I completed the log-in process over two weeks ago, but I've been unable to log-on. I was just checking whether I might have been bungling the password since it has to be longer and more involved on HMA than on most forums.

:-\

So when is UMA going to take over the HMA and bolster the Masks and Busts forum here?

???

Asked about new members and never received a reply even after 50 something views. I believe the administrators name is Eric Austin and he has not been active in a very long time. So I guess it's just whoever is there that's it. Sad.

If they can do anything, like make new members.

Only a handful participating now and I don't think they can do anything to admit new members. Eric is the guy who is THE one to do it.There are some still posting that would be a great addition to the UMA mask & bust threads.Back when everyone thought the site was closing down it was put out there for them to join the UMA.I know that there a folks on both sites that can back me up when I say there is an amazing amount of knowledge in the history of the monster/horror masks.

Hepcat

Why then don't you re-invite everyone still on HMA to join UMA?

???

Pity that all the threads and info on HMA can't be saved, but that would require effort/action on the part of the Administrators of this board which doesn't seem to be forthcoming.

Or because we don't like being sued for copyright infringement.

Are you saving them to your HD?

I'm assuming you'd work with the "owners" of the HMA site to merge that board into this one.

:)

Made another plea over at the HMA, see what happens I can't do anything else.

Did you find them?

Well I'm personally in no position to find the fellow if Kidagain cannot. But!!! The webhost company would I'm sure be able to provide his contact info. And guess what? The webhost seems to be the same one employed by Universal Monster Army. This is at the bottom of the HMA front page:

And this is at the bottom of the UMA front page:

I rather think that the webhosting company would actually be eager to cooperate. It can't be happy about losing HMA's business. And it would be child's play for the computer whizzes and nerds at the webhost to merge HMA into UMA. It might take them half a day if things go wrong in places. Otherwise a MERGE would take three minutes. All that needs to be done is deciding what to save and where precisely in UMA the threads should be put. A few subforums in the Masks and Busts forum here would probably need to be created. Then an automatic redirect to UMA for anyone logging into UMA would need to be installed. One night school course in Computer Programming and I could probably do it myself. It's naught but light computer logic.

Moreover it might not even be necessary to go beyond contacting the webhost. The "owner" of HMA might not even need to be in the loop. Who after all "owns" a forum? While morally it's the posters, I'm not sure of the legal niceties. Is a forum "owned" by whoever started the thing, or is it owned by the webhosting company? What if the administrators of the forum have walked away and have not been paying the webhosting fees? Does legal ownership then revert to the webhost? I think it may, but I just don't know.

One thing I do know for sure, if no action is taken by UMA's administrators, if nothing is done, then nothing will happen. (And I have already sent a PM to fmofmpls with no response.) A golden opportunity to add dozens of posters and thousands of posts to UMA's weakest sub-forum will be lost forever.

That's going to be a problem, then. If the board's owner isn't interested, there isn't anything I can do. Sorry!
