There's definitely something hinky happening. They essentially erased Metaluna Mutant from inclusion in wave 1 according to the card back checklist.

Mutant's cardback also is weirdly altered, with the face of Faith erased, focused solely on ole Big Brain.

As for Werewolf of London....I have no idea what happened. I doubt Courtland Hull caused it though. He wants that character kept in the public eye.

Sorry that everyone's upset about the Werewolf being gone. But I'm just relieved the Hunchback is still here. (Which means the Chaney license is still working with Universal, I think).
I'm also glad there's going to finally be a second Ygor figure (after the Sideshow one, which is way over priced).

JEEZ you guys are salty. Yea I'm bummed too that WOL is not included but I wouldn't go blaming Super7. They're the ones who WANTED to make this figure!

Sometimes these things can't be helped. Maybe they were promised they could do the figure by Universal and then after tooling someone's estate got wind of it.

I blame Universal.  I blame Henry Hull's estate. I blame whoever holds the copyright on WOL's fingernail design that wants their monthly check of 5 cents.

Super7 wants you to have these figures.  They're like one of the only companies still wanting to make UM stuff and they do an incredible job.

Anyway sorry for my rant.

If its any consolation, on Instagram Brian Flynn replied to someone asking if WOL will still come out, he said "still working through issues."

Oh Chick

I messaged Cortlandt Hull on Facebook. Guessing he won't respond, but if he does I'll let you all know.

aura of foreboding

I bought two of each: Ardeth, Ygor, and Son.  Sure hope we get WOL.

Thanks for pointing that out, Zach, that certainly gives me some hope that it may happen.

On a differing note, and not to be pedantic but because some of you may be as interested as I am...

The tooling and art has been made for them.

They already had him tooled.

What I've seen so far isn't a tell that production tooling has or has not been manufactured. Cutting steel is typically a very late stage step and the figure we've seen so far could easily be a hand sample, meaning it was cast in resin from silicon molds, or 3D printed if the sculpting is digital, or even shot in low use plastic or soft metal molds.

Unless someone in the know at Super7 or an associated vendor has stated the tooling for the Werewolf of London is complete, there's no way to judge based on the the information I've seen. It may not have been tooled, or the run might be manufactured and is sitting in a S7 warehouse (it has happened before with a different license) or it could have been halted at any point in between.

Again, this is jus an FYI for those who are interested in such minutia, like I so very much am. If anyone actually knows, I would love to hear it.

Regarding the Werewolf of London: I have a very fond memory if seeing that with my Granmother for the first time and am always eager for this merch. I'm DELIGHTED we got who we did today and already ordered 2 of each with plans to do another 2.

I was seriously honked off when I heard no Werewolf. However, I have hope he will show. If the line continues.  I hope he heads an all C lister wave to include Himself,  Mr. Hyde, Dracula's Daughter, Carradine Dracula, Kharis, and Lawrence Talbot.

Subatomic_Matt

... I wonder why Frankenstein has red sleeves and blue pants. The card back has him with light tan sleeves and a dark greenish gray pants (which is what the prototype showed back when).

I'm... not sure how I feel about that bright red.

I picked up all 4 figures in this new wave and just thankful Super7 continues to put them out.  I will continue supporting them in their efforts to get as many of these UM characters out to the mass market.

I have to admit, despite my initial anger at the perceived "booting" of WWOL from the line in my eyes,  I went ahead and bought the rest. In the hopes the line would continue in some way, and eventually include him.  Pretty much for the same reason as yours, Joe.
