Sounds interesting; I'm nervous about the Invisible Man. Hope it does well enough to make this next film happen.

"Dark Army" doesn't sound like "Army of Darkness" at all.

They just need to stop.  If they're going to do remakes or what-not, maybe look at showing them on Netflix or Hulu like they did with the British Dracula show.  These writers try to modernize stories that were made for a specific time period and mood.  Case in point, the British Dracula.  The first two episodes worked very well, then just went downhill wit the third.  The period and its mood is a big part of these films.

I believe the Universal Monsters can work in a modern setting, it just really requires the right vision and handling. Though I will say I do personally prefer the stories to be set in older time periods. But really the stories just require someone that understands why they are so compelling and who can properly blend it with a present day setting so that the film/show can rely on both rather then the other being a liability
I must insist upon one thing. Under no circumstances are you to go out onto the moors at night.

I don't know why they couldn't still be set historically - like tales of forgotten (or hidden) history.  Has "steampunk" popularity waned? If so, maybe it could be rekindled along with interest in the classic monsters.

More Victorian Adventure / suspense, less horror, could work.

Would be great if their reason for remaking one of these was because they had an idea to. Not, because they just want several more remakes of all of them.

We just got back from universal studio in Orlando, they had 2 houses open, the Bride and Tooth fariry. Both houses are excellent.

SPOILER!!!

The Bride Picks up after the movie, and basically SHE becomes the doctor and is trying to get her mate back!
And with the help of the blood from Dracula's brides! Leaving the Haunt house, me and the wife totally agreed for once, there is the movie they should make! Get DelToro to direct it and BAM!
Everybody needs to believe in something , I believe I'll have another beer!
