For Halloween, I watched the Blu Ray DVD of the original Hunchback of Notre Dame.  Haven't seen the film in years and never on Blu Ray

Does BD really make any difference to that movie?

See for yourself:

I like it! Much better contrast. Still pics are different than moving images, though. Does it still look like it was filmed on a rainy/snowy day?

OK, so I bought it.  :)

I didn't own the film on DVD so I purchased the Blu Ray version.  For the most part the picture is clear and visible.  The picture quality isn't great.  There are numerous scratches and print/dust stains/blotches.  I believe they did the best restoration possible given the source material.

Being yesterday was Halloween, I watched "Frankenstein"(1931) and "Bride of Frankenstein"(1935) back to back.

For Halloween, I kept it really simple. Universal's big 3 Monsters on Blu-ray:

Dracula 1931
Frankenstein 1931
Bride of Frankenstein 1935
Son of Frankenstein 1939
The Ghost of Frankenstein 1942
The Wolf Man 1941
Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man 1943
House of Frankenstein 1944
House of Dracula 1945
Bud Abbott & Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein 1948
