Dracula (1931) on Svengoolie last night. I got to see the French DVD release version with alternate (added) soundtrack using stock music. I liked it.

I caught this as well. When they first announced the version they were showing, I groaned. I never liked the musical score that they added to it a few years ago...but this was pleasantly surprising. The music style was spot on and actually enhanced the scenes it was used in. Especially the first appearance of the Count. I need to track this disc down.
