Very cool that we'll get the original Japanese version of King Kong vs. Godzilla for the first time, but strange that not all of the films will have the American counterparts. Kind of a shame for everyone like me who grew up with those and enjoy those versions as well.

Just pre-ordered this for my son! Thanks for the heads up

OMG!!! Thanks for posting this Mike. That artwork is insane. I have most of the showa era films on DVD but only 3 or 4 on blue ray. So this will be nice way to upgrade. I'm all over this.

This is being touted as the "science fiction" movie that influenced Ken Russell's Altered States.

I'm not familiar with this film - can anyone here recommend it?

I imagine Paddy Chayefsky had more influence.

They're selling MURDERS as a single, instead of on another set? That's stupid!

Could be they don't have access to 3 more movies for another set of 4 - or the cost of rights to this one made it necessary.

Let's hope it is because they are going to load this one with extra extras.  (Hey, I'm allowed to hope.)

That Collection 3 lineup is pretty sweet, though.

I hope they think "Horror Island" deserves a commentary.  I've always been fond of that film and looked forward to the times it played on TV back in the '50's.
