Eraser monsters

I just couldn't resist these 3D jointed, posable eraser monsters at 69 cents each. Distributed by Hunter Leisure of Melbourne, Australia. Woolworths city store, Sydney, Australia, had them. The mummy, robot and Frankenstein's Monster are depicted with a other creatures and cars on the back of each pack. There's supposedly an eleventh, secret, 1-in-50 eraser to collect.

And this little guy, an eraser pencil-topper bought from a Scholastic Book Fair in 2013, reminded me so much of the elusive vintage "Moon Monster" poster.

Moon Monster and son? by

Oh man, those are wild! I love the Moon Monster eraser in particular.

Here's a picture of a whole display box of Leaf Monster rings from the late 1960's:

Wow, what a find! The kind of thing a couple of super collectors would fight over!

I'm getting the same thing on my Avatar. I think PhotoBucket is at it again.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Hmmmm. So today I see that many of my other images aren't coming up either on this forum. That's happened a couple of times previously for a few days this year. I've had a paid plan with Photobucket for over eight years but they're constantly badgering me to "upgrade" to a more expensive plan. It seems I annihilate the monthly bandwidth limit to which I'm entitled within a day.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth was for whatever reason passed over when it came to the Academy Awards for the best film of 1970.

:(

Here are some of the movie posters for the flick anyway:

And here are a few great publicity stills:

Actually, When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth was nominated for an Academy Award for best Special Effects. Unfortunately, it lost to Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Me I think Ayak(Imogen Hassall) is the single best effect.

Well have to just disagree here. I love Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and having the empty armor, being reanimated and drive off the Germans entertained me a lot as a kid.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Hepcat

You don't think Ayak's bazookas would have been able to stop the Germans in their tracks?
