I've been posting all kinds of pics right from the start since it was never specified that the thread was limited to movie stills:

Quote from: Memphremagog on May 25, 2015, 11:05:15 AMI think almost every fan of the films has one;  a photo from a classic monster mag, a book on horror film history or even a poster.  Something that they love to see show up or to look at in general, giving the thrills of being a kid again or even just a damn iconic image.

Great books, too.

The Game Book, which came out toward the end of Warren's run, is actually tougher to find than the classic Monster Make-Up Hand Book which came out in the '60s, and may qualify to be described as scarce. My copy of the Game Book was purchased at The Monster Bash in 2001 along with stacks of other monster mags from a dealer named Emil from New York. He had several boxes of monster mags, most in high grade, for pretty cheap prices. I got to his table early and picked out over $700 worth of stuff which he knocked another hundred bucks off of. I got many of my Warren and Marvel mags in that deal in addition to my 3 issue run of Web Of Horror (my favorite monster mag). Good times.  ;)

My parents bought me one back in '64 or '65 and I was drooling then. Of course the first thing my 5 or 6 year old self did was rip through that glorious packaging and toss the pieces to the four winds.  :'( Some of the loose Pop-Tops on my shelf right now are probably from that very package my folks bought me back in the magic time of Monsterkidhood.

Sometimes I wish I could ride the Wayback Machine back to those times and yank that unopened package out of my 5 year old hands (along with the boxed Haunted Hulk), and dive back to the future with my valuable MIP treasures. Then I think.. Nahhh.. I value my love for the stuff even more than the stuff, so I would just keep things the way they are. And, hey.. I still have the loose Pop-Tops and Haunted Hulk to enjoy!  :)

Seems like this thread ought to be in the toys section?

The thread was started as a showcase for stills or  other images  regarding to the films themselves, somehow it got sidetracked to include all kinds of stuff that I also agree should be in another section to tell the truth.. ???

Yes, but if you look at the initial posts when I started it, it obviously wasnt geared towards including constant merchandising ads and toys..that stuff does belong in another section. It's really just taken the purpose of the thread and turned it into a showcase for people's own collectors items which is not the purpose of this I can assure you.

If Mike wanted to go to the trouble he could change the name of this thread to Post A Favorite Monster Movie Image. Then he could start another thread called Post A Favorite Monster Related Image and move the posts not directly related to films into it. Just a suggestion.

Yes, I saw that you posted pics directly related to movies  but that's what I would have expected you to post anyway because that's what you've always liked to do. The wording of both the title and your initial post indicated a much broader scope, however.
