Poor Jack - he's demoted the Lt Commander into a JG!  LCDR's have 2 solids and 1 half-bar, not 1-and-1.  tsk tsk... maybe Jack knew something we didn't?!!  (That harpoon, after all, is a tad droopy...)

One of Hubby's greatest laments is that he's unable to give our children - all the neighborhood in fact - a constant set of comics to paw, ruin, mangle and continue to re-read all of their young lives.  He talks about the horror of seeing 10-cent comics explode into 12-cent mags, then 15-cents nearly pushed him over the edge until 25-cent'ers made him realize he was getting too old for comics.  And became a collector. 

Personally, the $14.95 ARCHIEs are enough to ensure I'd never buy a comic. 

An abundance of comics, and baseball cards from backs of cereal boxes.  Childhoods must have been great for the baby boomers.

Sorry if I appear to bump this thread by quoting older posts in it - but I just love these threads of pix and posters. 

Anyone ever wonder that, if Earth's Women would dress more discreetly, if Earth's doom wouldn't be so constant?  And clearly from the Dinosaur CaveWoman pix, we discover bikini'd babes had been created havoc among even dinos eons before now! 

And the CREATURE FROM THE HAUNTED SEA costume... lordy... "Let's just pile a bunch of stuff onto someone's head, use a couple of overcooked fried eggs for eyes and make him wear black gloves with needles taped to them!  That'll work!"  I just love these things...
