The current issue of Rue Morgue has an unbelievable portrayal of the mutant on it's cover! Basil Gogos is the man!

That painting was done for a series of limited edition art prints that Gogos did in the late '90s.

Don't Look Back by Bernie Wrightson:

These are limited prints given as a premium when you ordered one of the first 350 copies of Bernie Wrightson: A Look Back in 1978. I did and this has hung in my living room since. Love Wrightson's work, especially his early work from the '70s.

Oh! This is really awesome. I wish I had one of these.
I am not sure why, but this also reminds me of the books with old dungeons and dragons art!

Thanks.

The book was reprinted in the '90s but I don't think the limited print was ever reprinted. Each one was signed and numbered by Bernie. Mine is #247/350. They turn up on evilBay every once-in-a-long-while and seem to be pretty expensive. I've enjoyed that painting for years looking for all the beasties hiding in the shadows.

I have always like that image. There is a place in Las Vegas called the Pinball Hall 0'Fame, where that pinball machine is featured. Great selection of other pinball machines.

That'll be my first stop next time I visit Las Vegas!
