This is an unusual set of 70's swap cards I recently picked up off ebay. Most of the monsters are from Japanese movies with a couple of exceptions.
Card No 2 is the Wolfman
Card No 12 is for Outer Limits I think
Card No 16 is a Knight, not sure from what Tv show or movie. All I can think of is either Scooby Doo or an episode of Kolckak The Night Stalker.
There are 36 cards in the set.I don't think a lot of Australian companies in the 70's bothered about getting permission to use these images.

I also picked up this Lou Costello card from the same seller.

Autograph Cards and Promos for Hammer Horror Series 1 (Strictly Ink, 2008). Missing is the Dave Prowse card. I haven't found one for sale yet.

It's a shame they couldn't get Christopher Lee or Yutte Stensgaard to sign cards for this set or Series 2. I guess Chris was out of Strictly Ink's price range, and Yutte doesn't seem too interested in embracing fandom like many of the Hammer Hotties have.

I am truly envious. These are incredible. That's quite an undertaking.

Thanks. These are available on eBay for anywhere from $12 to $70 each. They are usually available as Buy It Now but occasionally one comes up at auction if you save the search and lurk long enough. I've been patient so I've managed to pick up about half of mine at auction for around half the retail BIN prices. The 1996 and 2000 Hammer Horror sets also had Autograph Cards- 6 each. I plan to get those at some point. I would also like to get some of the better Sketch Cards from the 2008 and 2010 sets. The problem with those Sketch Cards is that the crappy ones aren't worth having and the good ones are very expensive. Something else to be on the lookout for I guess.

Are these autograph cards serial numbered? I don't see any such numbering on them. How many packs did you have to buy on average to get an autograph card? Does it appear that any of the autograph cards are less common than the others?

???

They aren't numbered but they are limited. This link to the House Of Checklists listing for the 2008 series lists the total numbers. 500 of some, 100 or less of some. The prices vary because of the scarcity of the Autograph Card and the popularity of the actor (example: Caroline Munro fetches higher prices than Madeline Smith even though there are 500 of each).
http://nslists.com/hamhosi1.htm

The listing for the 2010 set does not list the total numbers produced, but they are probably similar to the totals for the 2008 set (Series 1, Strictly Ink).

I never bought these when they first came out. I've been playing "catch up" in the last few months. I bought the base sets and all the chase cards and promos including the Autograph Cards off of eBay. The only Hammer Horror set that I already had was the 1996 Series 2 set from Cornerstone, and I picked that up a few years back.

In the last few months I've picked up the entire 1995 set, most of the chase/promos for the 1996 set, the 9-card 40th Anniversary Set (1997), a few chase/promos for the 2000 and 2004 sets, and nearly complete 2008 and 2010 sets (most everything but Sketch Cards) including the limited binder for the 2008 set. I bought all of these off of eBay. Also picked up a sell sheet, some wrappers, an unopened pack, and a few related odds and ends.

They are both beautiful, talented, girls. Popularity drives autograph prices and Caroline is more popular because she was in so much more: Bond, Phibes, At The Earth's Core, Golden Voyage, Starcrash and many more recent genre flicks. I love them both and honor them equally.

I just checked Maddy's IMDb listing and she was in more than I realized. Mostly TV though, so it goes under the radar easier.

I finally landed a base set of Hammer Horror Entombed (CMA, 2000), 72 card set with title card and checklist card (74 total). I already had a few of the chase cards but still have a few more to get.

Cards 1-9:

This is one of the tough ones. There is also a Male Signiture Set and six Autograph Cards that I plan to procure at some point. Now if I can just score that damned Hammer Horror Behind The Screams set from 2004.

REALLY love your Hammer sets. Let me know when you're ready to sell them, ok?
