*SPOILER ALERT*

I was never so happy as when Ollie the grocery store clerk shot that religeous fanatic woman Mrs. Carmody in the head. She was scarier than the monsters!  :o
Good point! It's like the humans in "The Walking Dead". They have become far scarier than the zombies themselves.

Was in South Jersey recently and stopped at old school record store. It's called "Tunes" (if you're in the area) and I've been going there for years. They have large used dvd and blue-ray selection at really good prices.

I picked up:
30 Days of Night
The Cabin in the Woods
Robocop (2014)
on dvd

and
Batman Returns on blue-ray.

Out the door I think I spent like $12.

Finally broke down and ordered this thanks to Mord's post in latest movies watched. About time I replace my ancient Good Times DVD release. The special edition by Shout Factory has gotten rave reviews for picture / audio quality and bonus features.

Looks like Universal is releasing one in August as well but it appears to be a bare bones release, no extras.

Mord

I still have the Good Times version. You might have just inspired me to upgrade. Shout Factory it is.

I just picked up THE BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW Euro blu-ray, and by gorsh, it IS open region, and looks great.

A screwed up favorite of mine with a great soundtrack!

Anyone who is interested in classic era Republic horrors, here is a DVD-R double bill currently selling on E-bay:

DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Received this in the mail yesterday and watched it last night. WOW!! The picture quality is unbelievable! Like it was filmed yesterday, it really is that good and the bonus features are great. In particular the half hour documentary on the making of the film and the 20 minute featurette on revisiting the film locations today. The documentary is great, talking with the director and the cast and how disappointed they were when the film flopped commercially and their surprise when they find out just how many people love the film today. All in all really great. If you like Halloween III this Blu-Ray is an absolute must have. Highly recommended!!

I loved it when I first saw it in the eighties & I really appreciate it now. Next on my "gotta get" list.
