Wormwood

I'll be picking this up for sure since both of these flicks are guilty pleasures of mine. Also, LaFB apparently features the original restored soundtrack.
Recent Horrors (out of 5 *'s):

The Witch - **1/2
Alien - *****
The Invisible Man - *****

Monsters For Sale

Not a fan of "Love At First Bite", but I do enjoy "Once Bitten".

And I never feel guilty about liking what I like - or disliking anything that enjoys almost unanimous popularity.

"Godzilla vs Megalon"--my first Godzilla Blu Ray.  Back in the day, I used to find this film really annoying, and I didn't give it a chance back then.  Now, I view this film from a very different perspective, and I wanted to appreciate this stuffed cheese turkey in the finest digital clarity I could get hold of.  And on that level, it satisfies just fine!!
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!

Great stuff neonoodle---I think this blue-ray looks awesome. I love this movie. You know there's a split in the Godzilla community over these movies. Some fans don't care for the late 60s/early 70s kid-friendly (good guy) Godzilla movies. I totally disagree though. These are the films i grew up with. I also like the Godzilla look in these films: rounder head, bigger eyes. Even though I love the early films, I prefer the G-Man as a 'good guy.' Just my opinion.

Oh yes, geezerbutler, I like Godzilla as a good guy, and some of my favorites are "Monster Zero" and "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" where he's not technically a "good guy" but sort of neutral, but the character sort of follows his instincts and ends up fighting on the side of right.  He's kind of a helpful force of nature in those.  "Ghidrah the Three-Headed Monster" is good too, with the monsters talking with each other and the fairy girls translating. Wowwwww, fun stuff.

Hi, Mike

I ordered it on Amazon and says "import." It says "all regions" though so I hope it plays. Should be here in a few days.

I couldn't find a EARTH vs BD on amazon, except as part of a 4 movie set.

I ordered the Region 1 version of this by Severin Films:

I enjoy the Horror/Exploitation sub-genres like Cannibal, Nazisploitation, and Women In Prison, and the history of censorship and witch hunts involving Horror and Exploitation Films, so this Video Nasties set looks like fun. I'll probably get Video Nasties 2 before long.

I also ordered NEW:

The Creeping Flesh DVD (Hammeresque Tigon with the Team Supreme Cushing and Lee)
The Quatermass Xperiment BD (Gotta have my HAMMER)

...and I finally found Cannibal Apocalypse on DVD for a reasonable price in "Like New" condition. That was the last classic Cannibal flick I needed. I always liked John Saxon and I've been wanting to see this one since I passed on buying it new at Borders several years ago...dumb move.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Looks like a great set (right up my alley).

Awesome stuff neonoodle and horrorhunter!

Just ordered:

The Brute Man
The Thing that Wouldn't Die
Werewolf versus Vampire Woman
all on DVD.

BTW: Mike, still waiting for my Earth versus the Flying Saucers blue-ray. Did you ever locate a copy?

Nice.

Dude, when you get the chance you should pick up Werewolf Shadow (1971) on DVD from BCI. It's the original uncut Spanish version and it's beautiful. I have the 2-pack (both in the same case) with Curse Of The Devil and it also has the chopped up US cut Werewolf Vs. The Vampire Woman as well as some other good special features and nice sharp video quality.

These DVDs are OOP and might be a little pricey now but are well worth it. That's my go-to double feature when I crave some classic Naschy.  ;)

I haven't been looking, actually. I'm satisfied with the DVDs I have.
