I am continually amazed that these crazy things keep popping up. I mean, what are the chances? 40 plus year old mint sealed monster stuff pops up again and again.
The rarity just astounds me.
There is an charm to these knock off monsters for me.

Agreed.........I love them!! But 10 G's??

MONSTER MASH

I can tell you this I have had 2 good dealings with the seller of the Lincoln's.  He agreed to a deal with the yellow butcher cello (mint loose lincolns someone wrapped in cello) and he backed out at 430am in the morning after we had a trade and cash in place-  I spent an hour meticulously packing his item and he pulled the plug. He has also been banished from mego museum for shady actions.

He is on my POed list

Personally the appeal of vintage monster toys is not that they be "screen accurate".  I don't like the cutesy monsters of today. I prefer the creepy monsters of yesterday. The Lincolns walk an interesting line between cutesy and creepy. They are almost unintentionally cutesy and that makes them even more creepy.

Exactly, Bobby.  Look at the expression on the Wolfman; creepy is a good word for it.

This thread made me spend some time staring at my Lincoln monsters for the first time in many months. They are stored in a box in the basement, so I rarely look at them. I took some pictures to convey their "cute/creepy" charm. These are just cell phone pics, nothing fancy.

Whoa! Those are great Ray. Thanks for the outstanding close ups! Minty fresh specimens!

jimm

Great pics Ray, hard to pick a favorite. I think I like some of the Tomlands even better, but that's another thread.

gracebuster

Excellent pics but proof that these guys are up to no good! Like most creepy people keeping them licked up MIB is probably for the best!

Type3Toys

Damn Ray! Nice close up pics! What is it about those monsters that is so awe inspiring? I cant seem to help wishing I owned them every time I see a set.

Man I love those things! I wish someone would make repops of them. Also to me the hunchback looks like Johnathan Winters!
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Toy Ranch

One thing that is pretty unique about them, their mouths are open (well, most of them). I can't think of many action figures of any type that were made with open mouths.

Monolith

Ray- nice pics. I have loose Lincoln's, except the Phantom - I gotta get me a Phantom.

That's not accurate. I actually left the MEGOMuseum due to the discovery that the moderators there were writing hurtful and false statements about me and other members.

Here's the story: I was accidentally given access to a folder entitled 'The Dead Zone,' which is an admin folder. I surmise that this happened as an oversight when I was invited to open a MEGOMuseum Mall Store there (not something that a member who is 'shady' gets asked to do), and with my changed user permissions on the website working in their Wordpress store software, it seems that something went amiss.

One day I logged in and saw a new folder. Naturally, I went to go see what it was all about, especially with a title like 'The Dead Zone.' Well, lo and behold, there were all of the discussion forum threads that the moderators had moved from public view (for various reasons not in question here). In browsing those threads, many of which I either previously read or participated in or both, I found that there were additional comments written only by the moderators for the moderators. Conversations about various members with language that they never used in the public view continued in this private admin folder. As you might imagine, a discovery of this kind was rather shocking and was the sole cause of my departure from their forums.

I don't like to 'kiss and tell' but I naturally have downloaded evidence in case anybody would think I was fibbing. Sadly, this is all true. I had many good years and good times and good feelings and good deals and more at the MEGOMuseum. It's simply time to move on.

Now, Andy, as for the deal that you described here between us regarding the yellow butcher pack of Lincolns that I changed my mind about, I honestly do not recall there being both cash and trade involved. I thought it was just trade. If I missed something and made an error, I do apologize. It is true that we have had good deals in the past and I appreciate you stating that in your post above.

Thanks for reading, everyone. And now, it's time to get ready for Halloween!

I appreciate you owning up to you not honoring your word.  You left out that this was the second time you had done this to me.  Did you forget about the whole Tomland BS you drug me through?  You gave your word that it was a done deal there also.  Fess up to that since you are so honest and trustworthy-   You not a straight shooter and you wasted hours of my time through both deals you backed out on and I am still upset about it.

It would be great if you would take a little time to reflect on your own part of the dynamic that we created before you ask me to start revealing more information about our own private communications.

I shared a lot above, Andy, and you haven't commented on the false information that you chose to share about me. I don't feel inspired to go deeper into anything without some acknowledgment from you that you chose to use your anger to motivate the spreading of inaccurate information about me.

I joined this thread because I want to set the record straight. Please keep things polite and civil and then it will work more smoothly.

Respectfully Submitted,
Bryan
