MONSTER MASH

You told me that the Mego Museum Brass black balled you from their site-  I went on there and wrote you positive feedback since we had great dealings and stood up for you-  I was speculating that you were banished for shaddy dealings since you were so shaddy with me on the last 2 deals.  Your a game player and a time waster (at least with me).  You gave your word and broke it twice.  There is no more to say.

It would be great if you would take a little time to reflect on your own part of the dynamic that we created before you ask me to start revealing more information about our own private communications.

I shared a lot above, Andy, and you haven't commented on the false information that you chose to share about me. I don't feel inspired to go deeper into anything without some acknowledgment from you that you chose to use your anger to motivate the spreading of inaccurate information about me.

I joined this thread because I want to set the record straight. Please keep things polite and civil and then it will work more smoothly.

Respectfully Submitted,
Bryan

"Speculating" doesn't help much, Andy. I've already explained why I left the MEGOmuseum. You continue to try to defame my character. I suppose you think this is fun and games, but it's real life, sir.

I experienced your behavior in the last two attempted deals as rude and self-sabotaging. You didn't let up with constant text messaging and I found it to be a big disturbance. It went from being fun and hobby-minded to obsessive compulsive and boundary-breaking when working with you.

It was equally disturbing to find out that the items you wanted to buy were possibly being purchased for Jeff Jones and not for you. I was surprised to find out about your close relationship with him on the very same items I had for sale, and that any contact I had with you or him was quickly known by the other party and then sent my way.

For example, when Jeff asked me about some Tomland items for sale in the hypothetical and I had no knowledge of his relationship with you, it didn't take more than five minutes before you were texting me asking about any news that you needed to know.

The whole affair was very confusing and disturbing. Keep in mind that each human has his or her own life and reasons for buying and selling. Driving a wedge in the middle of a transaction with these odd strategies really makes it hard to maintain trust. Further, we are not face-to-face, so the maintenance of trust looms larger than ever.

I won't even recount the sheer volume and content of the messages sent back and forth, but it was exhausting and full of irrationality. I am happy to be done with all of that because it was a drain on me.

I think that you have a passion for these Monster toys that is wonderful, Andy. I do not carry a grudge and can only hope that you will join me in putting this to rest.

I'm sure that you will continue to obtain the toys that you seek and we can both go back to having more fun in the hobby.

Wishing you well,
Bryan

MONSTER MASH

Once Jeff Jones came on board I told you I would never be able to compete with his money and you said yourself that the reason you backed out was because he offered you more money-  You had made promises to me and didnt follow through.  You were not exausted you told me straight up it was about being offered more money after you had promised me the deal.

This is put to rest- I don't wish you anything positive in the toy collecting world.  Your not a man of your word- Period (at least with me in out last 2 dealings)

I only commented on this thread because I had told Ray that the Lincolns were mine after you had agreed to the deal.  People should know who they are dealing with.  Im a straight shooter who has always kept my word in deals.  People who have dealt with me can attest to that.

This is put to bed-  Sorry for the Drama Ray-

This sure is a lot of drama over some little plastic dead men.

I hate to lock a Lincoln monster thread. Andy and Bryan, if you must continue this conversation, please do it privately. Let's have no more public posts about this dispute.

Plastic?  Yes!  Dead...?  No.  They were never alive.   :)
I would have HATED the Lincoln monsters in their original era, but never saw them until much later.  I had not seen any AHIs either, though they can be very cool.  I remember the Mego and Remco 8" monsters... didn't like them much, if at all, back then.  Now, there are not much cooler monster figures than them LINCOLNS!   ;D

I'm quoting this essay:

The monster characters were alive before they became monsters. Actually, only Frankenstein, Dracula and Mummy are undead. But it's cute to call them all dead men.

Quote from: raycastile on May 12, 2014, 11:14:27 PMThis thread made me spend some time staring at my Lincoln monsters for the first time in many months. They are stored in a box in the basement, so I rarely look at them. I took some pictures to convey their "cute/creepy" charm. These are just cell phone pics, nothing fancy.

Overall I'm not much into action figures but Wolfman and the Hunchback are easily the coolest of the Lincoln monsters.

Ah-hee.  Don't mind me trying to lighten the tone with some way serious silly nonsense.  :D
And I think a case could be made that the Wolfman is undead too.

Haunted hearse

It'd be interesting to know if somebody who has the renzani rod, also has these monsters.  Than we could enjoy a shot of their hot rod Lincolns.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

I have both, but my Lincolns are carded. I have seen other collectors pose 8" monsters on the Renzi car. I think Bobby (toyranch) did it once.

Not enough room in the hot rod so wolfman decided to car surf, teenwolf style!

Who made the hot rod?  AJ Renzi or Irwin or...?  Wasn't a car like that produced for Barbie's boyfriend Ken?  Great pix, really enjoyed looking at them.

Its made by AJ renzi just like the monster car, same mold. Only molded in light blue, plus No monster blowmolds were included I dont belive (no hole in seat for the peg on the bottom of the monsters) and the floorboards came already cutout so a figure could be placed inside.
Mine came painted on the wheels and some chrome on the engine and such, surely added by a kid a long time ago. Thought about removing as I can get it to look like new, but havent decided yet. For now  I kind of like items with kid touches to them.

All of my monster models were builtups with few exceptions.  I loved the boxes best and had unbuilt and even empty boxes just to have boxes.  But I did not want unbuilt models much.  I wanted built up with monster kid paint.  Sometimes terrible, always great, I love kid-built kits especially with their paint.  I thought your car was AJ Renzi as it's apparently blow mold, but the pale blue color is, I think, very much like the Irwin Ken doll Hot Rod which was "hard plastic" or "polystyrene"...?
