Wow, this looks like a late 30's or early 40's film - and it was made in what was almost 1960?

Never would have guessed.

It was an Ed Wood extravaganza! 

I first saw this on a Rhino Elvira VHS back in the '80s, picked up in a local video store in Chattanooga. Like many, I discovered a lot of schlocky monster gems in the old VHS days. Of course later I upgraded to "The Ed Wood Box" on DVD. Gotta have those Criswell appearances in the best possible format.
