I was just yakking. I couldn't remember how many there were.

I collect only Frankenstein, so I tend to forget what makes up a complete set of any thing.
I constantly have to reevaluate what I thought I knew as fact when it comes to old monster stuff. You and Mike had me goin' there for a sec.

Maybe the box was filled with all Mummy glasses? Either way, if I owned that box, I guarantee you I'd fill it with whatever type of glasses that are supposed to be in there.

This turned out to be a very informative thread! And I still tend to agree with you.... If I ever come across one of these shipping cases......anyone want to sell me one?  :) ...... I would take my time and eventually fill it up with the glasses! Would be an incredible display.  Would look great next to the Zoo-Piks I-Scream Spoon case!

Toy Ranch

When I was a kid, my best friend moved to Houston (about 250 miles away). Our parents were also friends, so our friendship continued for a while as we sometimes visited each other. He was also a monster kid, and the first time I saw one of these spoons, he had a red Creature spoon. I was admiring it, and his mother gave it to me. He was upset, and I didn't want to take my friend's Creature spoon, but she insisted and I planned to give it back to him when I had a chance. We came back to Dallas with it, and my mom stuck it in the dishwasher and melted it.

Fast forward to 1993. I was living in Seattle and had an antique store and restaurant in an older part of town. Initially, the restaurant was opened with a partner, and after a while we parted ways but on friendly terms. He bought a nightclub down the street, and still runs it today.

Then another restaurant that had been in business since 1904 went up for sale when the owner passed away, and he bought that.

As he was cleaning out the years of stuff piled in the basement, he came across a partial case of I-Scream spoons. Not sure if it is the same box you have there, but it very well may be. The box held a couple hundred spoons in red and gray. He called me as he thought they might be of interest to me, and I bought the case from him.  I was offered a pretty nice price from a toy dealer for it, and it was sold to him. I kept a couple of each spoon in each color.

It was a long time ago and I don't have any photos of it, but the box was in nice shape, I think the top was partially or mostly cut/torn off.
