YOUR favorite Mission: Impossible episodes (and my identical tape recorder)

What are some of your favorite Mission: Impossible episodes?

Back in those days, it was one of the best TV shows along with Hawaii Five-O, Star Trek, etc...

This tape recorder was given to me by my older brother once he purchased a large reel to reel tape machine in the 60's. LATER we discovered several episodes of Mission: Impossible used the same tape recorder. I wish I had never discarded it in the late 70's. I should have kept it. It may be quite rare these days.

Mine had the flip top cover, but sometimes on the show they removed the top cover, probably to show off the smoking reels better...

They called their tape recorders a sound camera, especially in the 60's.
I just found a mint condition one on Ebay. But it does not include the original tape reels.
I'll never forget that special "electronic smell" of that tape machine and winding the tape on new reels. cheers

Interesting phrase "sound camera". I never had a tape recorder of any kind when I was growing up in the 50's or 60's -- but lots of LP's and 45's. A friend's dad had a huge reel-to-reel recorder -- funny to think think back on the size of it now.

I remember LOTS of 45's and the plastic yellow center inserts. Some of the 45's had a cool spiral on them. I would play my brother's Beatles records before he came home. It was funny that a large reel to reel recorder was a big deal back then and how fast the tape would rewind.

Cats are trainable and I loved the patience that the other team members showed with 'Rusty' ..

If you mean cats are able to train people to do thier bidding, than yes, I agree.

Don't immediately have a favorite episode, but I enjoy the Leonard Nimoy / Lesley Ann Warren season.

Awesome series and really dug the majority of the episodes.  Too many good ones to choose from, but being a Joe Don Baker fan, THE MIRACLE (Oct, 3, 1971) comes to mind.  Once again, JDB portrays a badass hitman.

One of my favorite episodes was the one where Shatner is a gangster, who is convinced he's been snet back to the depression, in order to locate a corpse of one of his victims.
