I've never heard of Nutty Mads before but they are very cool.

Thanks folks.  :)

Hepcat, hopefully my photography will improve. Later on I'll take some of the figures out and do some closeups. I know they are all kinda crowded in there.

BTW, those two female figures on the bottom shelf with the Blame-Its are Marx Campus Cuties. There were several in the run but I only have the two. Campus Cuties are the same size as Marx Universal Monsters and Nutty Mads, whereas Marx Bathing Beauties are only 60mm (a little over 2 1/2", or playset size).

Flower, the Nutty Mads were made by Marx and came out in 1963/1964. They were inspired by the whole Fink thing with the monster hot rods by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and Stanley Mouse. There were three series of six each of the regular Nutty Mads. They also made some Nutty Mad Generals which I think were only sold in England and are very HTF and expensive. The little powder blue kids are called Blame-Its. Also, Marx made their version of the Hawk Weird-Ohs monster hot rods.

I agree on the coolness. I loved them when I was a little monsterkid, and I love 'em just as much now that I'm a big monsterkid. 8)

Not extreme closeups. Just do a few at a time arranged by series and properly labelled.

Thanks and I agree, they deserve to be loved.

My camera has a "macro" setting, does great for the close ups

I really dig the Marx Weird-Ohs! I understand they were sold in individual cellophane bags with their own graphics as well as loose in bins.

Here are a couple of photos of my own Marx Nutty Mads Bagatelle Game:

Those are good clear photos Hepcat. I'm having trouble getting clear ones. If I use macro, the flash won't work and they look dark. If I use normal setting with the flash I can't get a good image if I get close. The camera is 12.1 Megapixel. Is that just not enough?

I use it with pics I take of individual items in my kitchen actually. I have the main lighting, the stove light and a 3rd clamp on light I can control how well lit I want the subject. Work great with no naughty flash mark on the item.
