Romero's next Zombie film - Island of the Dead?

Apparently George Romero is in Canada on the shores of Lake Erie shooting his next zombie film, possibly to be called Island of the Dead.  Early news is that the movie is to take place on an island with local's fighting the zombies while trying to find a cure.  There are reports that this film will include underwater zombies (sounds a bit like Zombie 2 by Fulci).

Also reported is that this will not be shot like Diary of the Dead, but will be a regular film.  Some characters from Diary are rumored to be included.  Apparently the Texas girl in the RV and the whacko National Guard guys are going to be in the film.

Well, if that's true, I hope he'll take enough of a break to attend the Kitbuilders show in St. Louis this weekend, where he's a scheduled guest!
