Game of Thrones

I noticed there wasn't a Game of Thrones thread so I figured I would make the plunge.

Is anyone else enjoying this fine series? I haven't had the pleasure of reading the books; but I am left wanting more after each episode. I am almost depressed when the credits roll. The characters are extremely complex and compelling, weaving in and out of favor with twisting storylines that make perfect sense. Sound writing with excellent production; this is what a proper show should be!

My husband and I have watched every episode (some twice) and we have also never read the books. I had never even heard of the books when we started watching it- it just looked cool! It is really exciting (except for a few boring "council meeting scenes") and I also look forward to each episode...but if you REALLY want to know spoilers (I did) you can look up the book info and you can see what's gonna go down. I personally don't mind spoilers when it comes to shows or movies that came from books. It makes me more focused on all the plots & subplots to see what led to the outcome. ANYWAY.....Joffrey is such an interesting character! Every time they seem to drag out a scene with secondary characters I start screaming- WHAT EVIL is Joffrey up to??? Come on and show a king scene!  hahaha! Oh and each & every dragon scene is AWESOME!!

omg - last night's episode DESTROYED me. I have not read the books and was not expecting the red wedding.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about this show. And I haven't watched it. Would you recommend it? I love medieval movies and buckets of blood in film, so I figured the two mixed would make for a killer TV show.

Game of Thrones is one of the few shows I would recommend to someone. Do you have HBO? I don't recommend you read anything about Game o Thrones until you get caught up. Seriously, go now and don't come back till you are.
