AVERY GUERRA

This one has been in production for some time. It's a remake of the atomic age classic 1959 film by Bernard L. Kowalski. This new version is being done by b-movie master Brett Kelly. It looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. Here's a scoop on it: http://roberthood.net/blog/index.php/2008/05/03/attack-of-the-giant-leeches/ and my interview with it's director: http://www.roberthood.net/reviews/interview-attack-kelly.html Here's the first, very early, teaser trailer for it: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=7732868 and finally, the trailer has been released on the official website!! I really like how it was colorized to look like an old 50's or 60's exploitation flick much like the original: http://brettkelly.net/attackofthegiantleeches.html     8)

Creature Features

Sounds cool to ME. I was a big fan of the original, nevermind what those meat-heads over at Mystery Science Theater 3000 say.
"It's Alive...oh, It's Alive! It's Alive, It's Alive...IT'S ALIVE!!!"

But are they gonna keep that creepy cool cheesy old music as well?

Much as it might be interesting, it's gonna be HARD to match the original's "flavor".

I think they hope to improve on the original but at the same time pay homage to it respectively. I'm pretty excited about this new version and have been watching for updates on it from the very first announcements. I think he might be the right director for the job. At least he seems to know what he's talking about and has a real love for the original version.   ;D
