(Please feel free to hum the Beatles single while reading this thread ;D)

I was mentioning to Jim the other day that I really do not pursue my monster collection like many of you here.  In fact, most (90%) of my items have been gifts over the years.  Do not get me wrong, I love the collection I have, but my primary passion for collecting is music (classical, 30's-60's jazz, and soundtracks) and my wife and I occasionally pick up a Disney item to put on the now crowded shelves.  However, I DO love to collect and wanted to get in the "action" a bit more with the monsters.  As stated, I love music, so I will continue to collect the monster soundtracks that are out there (see soundtrack thread: http://www.universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=1894.0), but also wanted another item to pursue that
1. I enjoy and
2. that I can actually find without too much threat to our houses' mortgage.
So, monster paperbacks it is, with a huge emphasis on the Universal suspects.  So, was wondering if you could help me with some shots of your paperbacks as well as the publishing company that produced them.  Many thanks folks!

What a great collection!  From where did you get the majority of them?  eBay? Cons?

Do the Tales of the Frightened books repeat the stories from the records of the same name or do they include new stories?  I assume the Tales from the Crypt and Vault of Horror repeat the stories from the Amicus movies.  The Best of Creepy looks great too, but is the art hard to make out?  I remember Marvel releasing some Tomb of Dracula issues in paperback form and the art was so small you could barely see it.  And do the FM collections re-size pages from the original issues or re-format the content for paperback size?

Great stuff!

They're going to make you one of them, my peacock!

Thanks, I am not ignoring you. I am running out the Crypt.  ;D I will answer your questions tonight. I bought some of the rack and  a lot of them came in my shop. Not one from Ebay Believe it or not. HHW

Ok I am back from the Dead.

I believe the Tales of the Frightened Are  all the Stories that were on the Album.

Tales from the Crypt and Vault of Horror are just Random Stories  from the Original Comics.  Nothing to do with the Movies

Actually the Creepy book Transfers Ok. I would much rather read the Magazine. The Book you have to read sideways. LOL

Exactly what I needed for getting started.  Appreciate the time you took to put it together.

NP when I have time I will take some more. Any questions just ask. Now, don't screw with Chaney Jr no more.  ;D The Greatest Actor that ever lived. Am I the Fake Wolfman, The Real Wolfman   or Mar,  :D Who am IIIIIII.  ;D I'm HHWolfman.

HH, if you ever get a chance, I'd like to see a scan of that Werewolves book I asked about. I spent quite a while looking for a decent scan on the net but can't find one. I'm trying to determine if it's another Bob Larkin or not. I know it came out in hardcover with a real crappy line drawing for the art, but that paperback book cover looks pretty cool.

Thanks,
Mike
