That's awesome Lazarus. I wish I could watch the UM sequels for the first time again---if that makes sense. I admit, I was an adult when I watched most UM classics for the first time.

I would stay up late and watch weekend chiller theater shows (living in Michigan and California), but my memories are from late 70s and early 80s. All I remember are those programs showing Hammer, Toho, and the AIP Vincent Price films (at least for the most part). I don't remember anything black and white.

A & C Meets Franeknstein was the first UM movie I saw as a kid. Then when I was in middle school, I remember renting the original Dracula and Frankenstein at local video rental joint. I was blown away. I was in high school when I found the Wolfman and House of Frankenstein as video rentals. I remember watching Bride too, but can't remember the circumstances. Maybe on tv. But that was it. Don't get mad at me you OG monster kids, but I was in my late twenties when I watched the other UM classics for the first time. I was still familiar with all the films from my books and magazines of course. I  purchased all the dvds once Universal started producing them, and the rest is history.  :)

My memory must be starting to fade, lol. I was thinking about my post and something didn't sound right about renting HoF in high school. Looks like the VHS came out in 97, so I must have been in college. Otherwise I stand by my post  ;D

Picked up two of these Kongs. One to keep boxed and the other I added to my loose Kaiju figures.  :)

Just 'cause you're late for the party, doesn't mean it isn't still going on!  :)

I'm very much looking forward to it.  I've seen most of the core films several times, but there hasn't really been much opportunity for me to watch the sequels.  I've seen Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein, Dracula's Daughter, and obviously Bride, but that's about it.  I think the only monsters I haven't watched at all are Werewolf of London, the Mole People, and the Paula the Ape Woman movies.  But a lot of that is gonna change real soon!

I watched the Mole People for the first time about 5 years ago. I expected not to enjoy it. I enjoyed it immensely.

If you had the other two buckets, you could make a UM totem pole!

Something I just bought.  A movie Fangoria magazine called the most gory film ever came up for sale on Facebook Marketplace. I plan on giving it back to the man that directed it here in a few weeks. It is a 1 inch Pal tape sent to Germany for the release of the film. Leif is working on a 4K Directors cut and it will be released this year if this Pandemic ever ends and he can get back to work.

UPDATEI just talked to Leif Jonker and it seems this was stolen from him and he is thrilled to get it back.

Me holding the tape. Gloves because Safety First!
