Finally got around to making a pair of those tipsy pumpkin totem planters for my mom. If anyone else wants to try these and is concerned with stability, I used ½" rebar for the support, with it passing slightly out through the bottom of the pot. I also took scrap lengths of pressure treated 2x4 and cut them to the diameter of the inside of the pots, with a ½" hole drilled through the centers for the rebar to pass through, and arranged them in a "+" shape for added stability, held securely with the dirt packed around the wood.  Also for the upper pumpkins, I half filled them with chunks of Styrofoam before adding dirt, to cut down on weight so the whole thing wont be so top heavy.

I know she likes succulents like aloe and also bromeliads, so  probably some of those. But then again it's hard to tell with her, so who knows. Haha.

I was on the fence since available room is getting precious but when I saw it at Walmart I talked myself into it. This thing is massive in person, and fairly impressive to a Dai Kaiju geek.
