People are really bashing these figures.  Are they REALLY that bad? Personally, I love them all and I think they're beautiful.
You know..a big complaint is about Dracula.  I may be wrong here but it seems to me like people hate the Dracula figure because it's NOT Bela Lugosi.  Would I have preferred a Bela Dracula figure? Sure.  But for a figure that's not Bela, and doesn't pretend to be.. I think it looks pretty cool!
I also think that Van Helsing looks cool too.  That base is gorgeous!

Even though I only buy Creature stuff, I like all of the figures!

The Retro Cloth series isn't bad. They are very nice toys. But when I see the Phantom, I think of what could have been.

Imagine Frankenstein, dressed in black, with a head sculpted and painted as good as the Phantom.

I agree that the Dracula is pretty good, for a generic Dracula.

Actually, those are my least favorite. I don't like dolls dressed in cloth costumes. The scale just never works. They look like David Byrne.

I tend to be less interested in figures with sculpted-on clothes. I've always preferred cloth costumes. All-plastic toys seem incomplete. Costumed toys seem more alive. I like my toys to be alive.

Did you ever find an Uncle Gilbert? I haven't seen one anywhere yet. Kong said they were not available at TRU just specialty stores or online. I would buy it even though I am not really interested in the other DST Munsters, I passed on wave 1 as well. My dad bought all of them bothe waves though from TRU so he is missing the Creech too.

They did that to perfection in 1970 with AHI's Frankie. 8)

What makes you think there wasn't?

Did I miss something? When was the cloth version of the Invisible Man released?

Much like Mego, AHI,  Remco, Lincoln, etc. All the Monsters produced by those companies, seemed Alive.

Yup.  The texture is nice, but the presentation could be better.
