This story reminds me of one, that happened to me.  This took place around 18 years ago. I was at the Flea Market in San Antonio. There was a Storage Unit Seller there. He finally hit the Jack Pot. A Storage room full of 60's 70s Toys. I bought a Topper Monster Maker in the box, Some Big Jim Stuff and few other Odds and Ends. I knew the Redneck selling the stuff and had been quite chummy over  the years. I had just picked up a Ideal Super Queen Wonder woman,(naked) He just put out. Now this Mean Lady, I had seen around for years, had beat me to the G I Joes, Which didn't even bother me. She Just came up to me when I wasn't expecting it and Grabbed the Wonder Woman out of my hand. She said that was with the GI Joes. Now I don't take crap off of anyone. I don't care if it is a 60 year old Woman. I am fuming and Figuring out What I am going to do about it. THe seller saw what happend. He tells the Lady,  I can't see  What ya got there, Put them down and I'll Count them. She laid down the Action figures, I reached over and grabbed the Wonder Woman. She yells Did you see that he took my doll. The Redneck looked up at her and said, crap Happens Lady. She paid for the Joes and stormed off. We were laughing our Asses off. BTW He Charged me a Dollar for her. Then Like5 minutes later, I was looking in the back of his camper, I saw the words Kiss through a bag. I actually crawled in his truck and pulled out the bag. There were four Kiss Dolls Sealed in the Boxes. He says, Now Howard those are real expensive.  I said how much. He says $30 for the Set. I almost Fainted. Ahhh Good times, Good Times. HHW

That's precisely what keeps Jordan and I rummaging through flea markets and thrift stores and garage sales.

Ray, I got that little guy off Ebay.  He was listed as
KING KONG MARX MEXICAN FIGURE OLD TOY VINTAGE RARE PLASTIC.  I passed it up several times, but I sort of became obsessed with it.  It looked like an angry bigfoot or something.  Paid $9.99 for it (including shipping).  I cannot find any markings on it.  He is pretty cool.

I've seen this guy in gift shops, and as a Stern Show fan, I always thought it would be funny to make a custom Baba Booey card for him and send it in. I love Gary, though.

Simplistic as it is, yours has a much nicer paint job with the red accents than mine does. Odd how such a small difference makes the figure slightly more striking. I'll have to make some changes I think!

It is funny how we can obsess over these things, isn't it? He has a backstory, and he is keeping it from you, but that only adds to his appeal, right? Maybe you can make a vintage header card called "KING FOOT" and put him in a crinkly old bag...

I think this Kong is the newer one from the last few years. Came with a red hang tag around the neck. Have a pic somewhere if you're not familiar w it, don't think it got very wide distro.

Thanks for the comments, gang!  I did touch up the Kong figure myself.  It had green eyes & not much paint on the mouth & teeth.  I think I made him more fierce looking.  The bigfoot had light flesh tone skin with goofy looking eyebrows and not much depth to his hair, so I fixed him up to my liking also.  Kong76, the KINGFOOT is a great idea!  Even though I paid a good $$$ for the Half-Human beastman, I hate the paint job - nothing like the poster/lobby cards.  Thinking of painting him with more believable colors & adding some synthetic hair patches to cover the articulation areas.  Thanks again for the comments.
