I've been looking for this Dell/Creech. Last week I found one at an Antique shop and it was damaged with the cover torn. The seller wanted 75.00. Great score, Geez.

That comic is in very high demand because both Dell comic collectors and monster fans want to acquire a copy. The high demand has resulted in high prices.

All of the Dell Universal comics care pricey.  We have a 2nd print of the Frankenstein one at my store and I'm tempted to bring it home with me.

I picked up a copy of the Dell Creature in great shape at a comic shop for only $6!!! The Wolfman was marked $7, but I got it half price for $3.50. True story (but that was 30 years ago).

It would be fun to take a wad of money back with you for a shopping trip 30 years ago.  Only downside is fewer people would have Internet and things would be harder to locate.

I got a mint copy for only 12 cents!  ;D

But I'm guessing that by the time you got it home and finished reading it the condition was only NM.

You would have to Doc Brown it and have accurate time period money, you couldn't just take a wad o' cash back. Logistically this would make it pretty difficult unless you could take gold or something that could be exchanged for old currency. Probably easier just to rob a bank during the time period.
As far as locating items, if you did your homework right you could find the vintage treasures on the retail shelf for sale hopefully.

I would be buying a box of Clinton Frankenstein buckets at some mom and pop store in New Jersey in 1964

You could get a big markup on ABG Frankenstein Pencil Sharpeners and save a lot of room.

Or, just fill your buckets with them.

Picked up loose figures of Dracula, Phantom, and Creature. The Wolf Man and Monster you see in the picture are the original figures I had when I was a kid. Most of my collection I had to re-acquire as an adult, but those are originals. As you can see I'm working on a background for the monsters.

Those are what kind of figures?

I like your background! You need some kind of water feature though from which your Creature can emerge.

:)

They're Remco 3.75 figures, I just managed to pick up a few sealed ones and the play set so my collection is almost complete.

thanks guys! Yeah I forgot to mention they were Recmo mini figures. Congrats Palifan on getting the playset. That's on my wish list. Pretty pricey when you find them in good condition. And great idea Hep about adding body of water for Creech. I'll be going to up to craft store soon. Hopefully I can something.
