Are you leaving that hunk of plastic on his foot?

No.  That is just the way he was found.  It is barely hanging on.

I plan to trim it off.  They look better standing up - Easier to see and take less shelf space.

If you can get them to stand up. I had to (silicon) glue my Creature ones to some little round "Mini Mate" stands.

I've had good luck with double-sided tape and museum wax for unstable items.

BTW, I thought I'd get a couple of these for my loose blue and green Funko/Reaction figs....

Cool.  I saved that Collecting Warehouse site as a favorite.

Here is a TinyURL for that link:

Spotted this badly listed Frankenstein figure on eBay:

Frank is placed on top a cork stopper in a glass dome - just as listed.

Frankenstein Trophy Topper from a 1960's Model-Building Contest.  Bright Silver-Colored (Chrome?) plating.  Appears Gold in warm, yellow lights.  The solid metal Topper is quite heavy for its size.  Frank is 4½" tall on a ½" high Peanut Butter Cup.

Never did understand why they stood him on top of a Peanut Butter Cup.  (Sponsored by Reese's?)

D'you buy it?

Uh... yeah.

Those are my pictures.  I just meant that he came in a dome supplied by the former owner.

I'd like to perch him on top of another little trophy base.

I have the entire kit and box for this contest, posters and all.  It's a scarce piece.

Wow!

Could I get a scan of the artwork on the metal piece that goes on the trophies?

(I would love to see pictures of the kit - especially the posters.)

I assume he means the posters that hung in the hobby stores advertising the contest, like this one.

The contest was a combination of Hawk Weird-oh's and Monsters.  The posters were a white background with day-glow colors depicting Digger, and Frankenstein, with maybe others. There were 3 trophys for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  The bases were a white plastic. I believe someone put up the posters a few years back on e-bay, it could have been Monster Bob, not sure now. Don't know what year the contest was from, but, I'm sure it was probably mid-sixties.

What?!

:o

The contest to which you're referring could not then have been the Aurora Monster Model Customizing Contest for which the above poster was issued. Hawk and Aurora were competitors. Your contest must have been sponsored by a retailer of some sort.

???

Collecting! It's what I do!

Hep, exactly.  The poster that Mike showed was from the Aurora contest, and the trophys were of course the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place vacu-form Frankenstein plaques. THIS contest had these metal Frankenstein trophys, along with posters, entry blanks, certificates, etc.  It is a tough item to find complete, and once in a while you'll see these metal Frankenstein pieces show up once in a great while.
