On a side note, the artist Walter Velez also did the art for these Universal Monster related items~

Got these today.

These Mark Of The Devil barf bags are way cool, and way plentiful on eBay. The paper looks the right age to be legit. Prices are all over the place on these things. I got the 3 of them for 3 bucks each with the shipping cost. It seems doubtful anyone would counterfeit something that often turns up so inexpensively. I guess they just had a crap-ton of them printed over the years.

Sometimes home video releases of certain Horror films offer barf bag premiums, so some of them might have been giveaways in the '90s with a VHS release, or the early 2000s with a DVD release, and so forth. From the look of these particular ones the paper looks old enough to be from the film's original release in 1970. They look cool in the collection so even if they were given away in later years (or copied) they're well worth the cheap price.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Good score. I dig these bags.

Count Zero

well, these just arrived today.
i have to say that they look even better in person.

i messaged the seller twice during the auction with questions on these coppersmith plaques. first time was something along the lines of "what does the back look like?" and the second time was something like "would it be possible to see the back of these plaques" or "can I get a photograph" - i don't remember... the seller never responded and i bid anyways.

go with your gut - cause here is what the backs look like:

Now what you do is make sets and sell them to everyone. Great money making venture if you ask me.

So...  Are you gonna e-a-s-e the forms out and display the hollow metal - or, will they remain in there forever?

(Good thing they never fell victim to the big scrap copper scavenger hunt some years ago, the way many fine silver pieces did when the price of that metal went up so high.)

i am thinking about it. it would be a lot of fun to make some of these - though, i don't want to ruin the original copper plaques in the process.
i'll have to be extra carful if/when i decide to remove them - i do think i will at some point. although for right now - i'm just enjoying looking at them. when i do get around to making sets - i'll post them here on the boards.

on a side note...as soon as i picked up the package i had a feeling that my suspicions were true - it was too heavy. when i opened the package and removed the first plaque - even before flipping it over - the weight was a dead giveaway. looking back at the auction photos its so hard to tell - the drac plaque is what started my hunch - especially around the corners.

John Pertwee

I've collected a few press kits over the years but this is by far the best.

I totally dig press kits. This one is amazing. From a classic film.

The color is a bit more yellow green, otherwise identical.  Same size.  Feels to be from the same material.  Same density.  I have a loose US version as well.  Found on eBay.  Shipped from Venezuela.
