Finally scored a Rat Fink charm with whiskers off eBay:

The evilBay pic is a little misleading. It's actually more of a flat greenish Teal color than the pic. Also, it doesn't have the weird yellow tinges which are a property of the pic. It's almost exactly the same color as the first issue Marx UniMons. His whiskers are black and gray.

Sure wish I could find a bunch of these original 1 1/2" Rat Fink charms for cheap but these things are fairly expensive on eBay for such a common item. High demand I guess. The bagged Rat Fink rings with header card sell for around a hun, and the loose ones with whiskers are somewhat pricey as well. The loose plain ones seem to sell for around $20-$25. The really small ones without the tail sell for cheap but those aren't nearly as cool.

A loose Remco Creech came across my desk at work today.  REALLY wanted him for myself.  One of these days I'll have a carded set.  One of these days!

I'm wondering how much of a royalty Ed "Big Daddy" Roth got from the sale of these charms and rings. Does anyone have the header card from these rings from which copyright information can be read?

???
Collecting! It's what I do!

Roth was really ahead of his time! He had a website in the '60s, before they were cool! ("Ratfinkring.net" on the box)  :D

Yeah, they slipped in an ad with their pic. Anyway, here's a link to their site: http://ratfinkring.net/

Like Ralphie said after using his Little Orphan Annie decoder- "Sonuvab*tch! A crummy commercial!!"

BTW, Speed, I probably should have posted that box pic in another thread since I don't own it, but I was giddy from all this Ratfinkin';D

Congrats, Andrew! Nice Frankenbucket!  ededed

Heckuva flea market find for that Mystic Skull game. Man, I never found anything that cool at a flea market. Of course, this area is pretty much dead regarding Monsterkid toys (central Southeast). If I want to look at monster stuff I have to look at my own collection.  :P

Great score on the bucket, Count Z!  :)

The box graphics on the "Mystic Skull" game are pretty cool, too!

The Frank Bucket came from what type source?
ADAM

Count Zero

it was a planned purchase not a find

how many of these franken buckets do think have survived and are either sitting in a collection or waiting to be found at a thrift store or something?
