Hi.  I don't have any photos unfortunately, but, you can see them in Kirks book as to what they look like. Thanks for the info too about the paint set, sounds like a good "guesstimate". I knew it was an ultra rare paint set, just wanted to get an idea, one might be surfacing.  The Palmer gun sets were purchased by me at a model kit show nearby here in Gilbertsville years ago, the dealer had them on his table nearly all day!!  The other carded sets were bought back in the day at the great Atlantic City Antique show, when it was in the old building on the boardwalk. Really miss that show!

I know of six boxed sets, but I don't know how many of those are unpainted.

Another thing of which I would settle for a repro!  Guess that guy gave up on the Mystery Game repro.

Hi Mike.  I know there was an old post as to which paint set was liked the most. The Frankenstein, for any other reason, is probably the most "memorable" with the "classic" image liked by so many of us, but, that Creature would have to get my vote, the image is "super-cool"!!

Oh yeah, I wonder why that never happened? He seemed so determined about it.

I wish I could remember who it was. Maybe I'd email him.

Got these Rat Fink vending items in the mail today.

I bought similar Rat Fink charms out of gumball machines when I was a kid in the mid '60s. I never had the rings though. I was crazy about Finks, Nutty Mads, Weird-Ohs, and Daffy Daddy-Ohs. Still am.  :)

Oh man! I'd guess they're from 1967-68.

Probably around that time. I remember buying a red Rat Fink charm like those orange ones back around 1964-1965 when I was 5-6 years old. It was the first one I ever managed to get out of a gumball machine. I carried it around all the time and put it on a little chain like a keychain. At some point it was lost and I drove my mom crazy trying to find it. That one never did turn up.

The tiny Rat Fink charms (3/4") with the "ring hole" in the backs are plentiful and pretty cheap on eBay, but these slightly larger ones with detailed sculpts and tails are a little pricey. I guess there were warehouse finds of the little cheap ones a few years ago. The "Scram Fink" rings seem to be a little more scarce. I had never seen them before. I may post pics of my vending trinkets at some point.

Radical! I haven't seen those Scram rings before.
Likewise, I pickup the later '80s finks on the little ball bearing chains because those were among my first Rats. My mom remembers a little black one I had on a jacket to help me as a zipper pull.
