Found this 1964 cartoon paperback at an antique mall today...I thought it was a Charles Addams book, but upon closer inspection it's not. Still pretty cool though...

Went to another antique mall yesterday. Bought some old Matchboxes and this old Casper the Friendly Ghost game. I loved Casper when I was a little boy in the 1960's. It was one of my favorite cartoons back then. I have not watched his old cartoons in many, many years though. This game came out in 1959. I lucked out and got an almost mint piece here. Except for the sticker on the box front, this thing is in great condition...no mold, no water damage, no stains, no missing pieces or crumpled cardboard. I paid $16 for it. I thought that was a good deal. I've seen it priced higher and in worse condition.

Hey, kids! Thanks for not playing with your toys, so we can now get them in NM condition! ;D

Apparently, this game was too scary for anyone under 5 yrs old.

The Milton Bradley Casper game has great graphics! It's one of the most treasured games in my own collection.

I'm finding that this Casper game was very common. I've seen it in alot of antique shops prior to this purchase. Obviously, it's not a rare find since there are tons of them on Ebay, and they average around the price that I paid ($16.00). But all in all, this one I picked up was in great shape (as most of the ones I saw prior were damaged or missing pieces).

I have been on this roll lately...going out to Google Maps, and doing searches for antique malls and antique shops. I have found alot of them within 30 miles radius of me, and many of them carry alot of retro stuff that I like.

In fact, I went to an antique mall today. I spent an hour sorting through all kinds of beat up looking stuff, but right before I was about to give up, I stumbled upon an old Star Trek Tracer Gun. I had one back in the 1960's. It shot these little bright neon looking discs. Anyway, this one was in great condition, and works perfectly, but there were no discs with it. I paid $3.00 for it, brought it home and looked it up on Ebay. Used, these things start around $50. I couldn't believe what a deal I found. Here they are on Ebay selling quite costly, and I found one today for $3.00:

Yes, I've also noticed that the Casper board game is easy enough to find.

Those are also easy to find, even M.I.B. I bought one cheap at a toy show back in the eighties but gave it away to a Trekkie buddy of mine a few years later.

;D

MIB, those things are going from between $150 - $300 on Ebay. I had been looking at them on Ebay for many years, but never wanted to pay the crazy prices for them. I'm so glad I found one yesterday. I was looking at it lastnight, and it's in mint condition....not a scratch on it....almost like it was never used. The kid must have lost all his ammo and shelved it.

Found this really cool Whitman - Big Little Book, from 1976, at an antique store yesterday.
Grimm's Ghost Stories - Here's a guided tour of the wild Old West as it's never been shown before, complete with gamblers, gold miners—and ghosts, ghosts, ghosts!

I had that book growing up! Very Tales from the Cryptesque.

I like the story where the actor accidentally stabs a fellow thespian during performance and is haunted by his ghost. Has a very good ending
