Monsters For Sale

Just checked eBay.  Searched Lionel Black Cave.

There are current Buy-It-Now listings for anyone interested.

(If thee had been live auctions, I would not have mentioned them.)

Guess these aren't as rare I imagined.  They are brand new to me.

Quote from: ChrisW on August 04, 2015, 10:02:09 PMPicked up this train set at a show this week-end.The Black Cave Flyer by Lionel. It's from the early 80's. It is mint in the box, with the diecut backdrop, mat, stickers and paperwork unused and intact.

I don't see any indication of the scale on the box. Lionel typically puts out its train sets in O scale but from the box the track appears to be two rail HO scale.

???
Collecting! It's what I do!

Wicked Lester

Never seen one before. Pretty cool. The art reminds me of something off of a Skywald horror mag.

I'd never heard/seen anything about this version of the Universal Monster cookies?!  Apparently they were a dollar store item around 2011/2012.

Apparently these came with 1 of 4 different reflective stickers

I had previously only known about the earlier 1998 versions;

There are at lest 6 stickers. I just won a box and 4 stickers on ebay. One is a Mummy and I can't make out the other one because the auction pic is too small, but it's a different design.

Oops! This is a different box for the same cookies. I didn't get that other variant  sticker, but it's pictured on the box, between the Mummy and Dracula.

The 1998 box was issued in the U.S. by Nabisco.

The two 1999 box variations were issued in Canada (hence the French) by GoodFood - evidently the Nabisco branch in that country.

The stickers differed those 2 years.

I remember seeing them for sale in Big Lots stores, but a lot longer ago than 2012.

So Mike's appears to be a U.S. version.  Wasn't really sure on the date but any info I found pointed to 2011/2012; seeing has how I'd never seen them until now though I can buy that they are 1999.

Do you collect all those different toys and games? What do you plan to do with it all?

Are any of those pictures actual photos of the ones you bought or are they all just images you lifted from the net?

???

Those are pics I found on the web to show what some of these things look like to members who may not be familiar with them

I do not collect everything I got  so will probably go through it all when I have some free time and sell some of it
