I picked up this little fellow off evilBay a few days ago. At just under an inch tall he's a Big Frankie looking little charm which was probably only available in gumball machines back in the day. No markings except for "Hong Kong" on his back. I love all these cheapo Monsterkid items from dime stores, mag/comic ads, and vending machines, and line my DVD and bookshelves with them.

Picked these Ghoul Teeth up off...where else?... eBay. I've been scoring many different kinds of dime store Monster Teeth & Nails sets lately. These things must have been really popular back in the sixties. I remember buying several of them back when I was a Monsterbrat and now I think I love 'em even more. Those '60s packages look great on the old monster shelves. The Ghoul Teeth are the only ones I've seen which allow you to build your own set of teeth by putting different combinations of fangs and jagged teeth in the gums piece. Made by Bengor's Plastics. This is the eBay photo. The one they sent me isn't damaged on the corner of the header card.

Thanks, guys. Luckily there seems to be a neverending supply of Monsterkid dodads out there to snatch up. Before eBay I found little, if anything.

Picked up my first two AHI Monsters!!!  Here I took a photo of Frankenstein in front of the book where I learned about these figures!

Picked him and the Wolfman up at a local show.  Might be the best piece in my collection!

Mord

The Frankenstein was always my favorite AHI monster. It had a very good Karloff likeness for it's time. And, yes, the Hammett book is the UMA's toy bible.

Congrats on your AHI gets, Moe! I don't think there's anything more popular with monster collectors than the AHI monsters!  :)

Very cool Frankensein. I would love to see a picture of the Wolfman figure as well.

Here he is... in excellent condition.  I don't like to buy these guys on ebay, so I was excited to find one at a show in such great condition.

So do I! Vending machine items are hard core kid stuff and therefore just right in my book.

I love the art work on those super 8's. I love to collect one film (say "Frankenstein") on all formats through the years (Super 8, Beta, various VHS releases, various laserdisc issues, all DVDs, then Blu-ray). It would be nice to see all of the changing art on the boxes.

BigShadow

Mord,
"The Crimson Cult" was the American released name of the movie.  "Curse of the Crimson Alter" was the British release.  I'd like to find a British Super 8 to go along with this one.
