Not a monster toy, but a weird and sort of creepy find yesterday that some here might appreciate. I found this at an old, disorganized antique outlet and paid 9 dollars for it. Appears to be a leaf from an illuminated manuscript, or a copy of one. The thing seems to have some age to it and someone obviously paid good money to have it professionally framed and mounted fairly recently. Not sure if this is original, valuable, or what, a little research tells that the page comes from the "Codex Manesse" which is a German poetry/songbook from the 14th century. If anyone knows a good forum or site where I could learn more I'd appreciate it.

Monsters For Sale

Oh, what a charming little guy.

That would be a restful illustration, at home in a research library or on a child's room wall.

I don't know anything about it.  But maybe a heraldry search would turn up something about that shield.

Nice find!

My Monster Superballs arrived in the mail today. I got these five off eBay pretty cheaply. These things are way cool. They remind me of little scrying balls with the ghostly images of monsters appearing. Now, if I can only find that 6th ball...

Back views.

Monster Superballs...that reminds me of an overachiever in the function of procreation. Wait...I have a cousin like that.

Here is a great glossy autographed photo of Bob Deveau and Donna Asali as Morgan Randall and Shelley Godwin from the killer film Dying Day. I believe the fellow on the right played the necromancer who kept sending the zombies after Morgan Randall. Dying Day eventually got turned into Raiders Of The Living Dead by Sam Sherman, but as I stated in another thread, I believe the best parts of Raiders were the bits of Dying Day that made it that far. Thanks, Bob.  :)

I wasn't expecting to see that photo- Bob is my brother. Did he sign that recently? He posts on the UMA under the name the Holding Coat. I'll tell him you posted it.

Very neato. ;D

HorrorHunter: Glad you liked the photo. The other actor in the photo (who played the bad guy) is Bob Sachetti, who I'm still in touch with. (If he didn't live so far away I would have asked him to autograph the photo, too.) We're in agreement about DYING DAY being the better movie. Have you seen any of Brett Piper's other films? The ones I've seen (DRAINIAC, THEY BITE, one about giant spiders I can't recall the title of) have been quite enjoyable.

Monolith: Thanks for pointing this out.

I received it a couple of days ago. I posted how much I love Dying Day and Bob was kind enough to gift me with this awesome glossy of he and Donna from the shoot. Bob is very gracious and humble, and a helluva good actor (as is his lovely wife). I proudly add this to my monster related photo collection.  :)

Hey Bob. I haven't checked out the other movies by Brett Piper yet, but I'm so impressed with Dying Day I definitely will. Thanks again for the photo, and thank Donna too. Have the Morgan Randall part of your psyche to always keep that shotgun handy. BTW, do you ever have zombie flashbacks when you watch The Walking Dead? Hang loose, friend.

Got this off evilBay pretty darn cheap. This is the Kong Wear-A-Weirdo Necklace MIP with the packaging being in decent condition. I already had the Frankenstein and Wolfman Wear-A-Weirdos MIP so that completes that. Now on to other monstrous doodads.
