Haunted hearse

Here's a strange one I couldn't resist. It's a Mexican bootleg figurine, looks like the Marx Phantom body with some weird cartoon bird head molded on. Anyone seen one or know anything about these?

I'm certain that's a very rare "Count Moleula" figure. .:P
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Upon closer inspection I think it's actually supposed to be a fly. Some dog or toddler chewed its antennae.

I've been photographing an Advent calendar, based on "Elves on the Shelves", and couldn't resist setting up a haunted house scene for you guys!:

Note the house is a half-size replica of a Hasbro Kooky Spooky mail-in:

Here's my latest....and maybe last monster purchase.

My Monster S-I-Z-E Monster poster of Frankenstein's Monster by Therin of Andor, on Flickr

This was 1975. A boy and his Monster S-I-Z-E monster. The Western shirt had the metallic gold threads in it, and press-stud buttons and the 40s Fair Isle vest was a hand-me-down from Dad. The Frankenstein's Monster was printed on polythene, came in two sections (from Magnamail mail order) and had a set of round glow-in-the-dark stickers to go over his irises.

So, either people are so cheap now its unreal---or no one has any money for $4 ghosties, lol. But I digress---here he is in all his spooky glory:

I once saw one of these Papo ghosts in a toy shop, new, and regretted not buying him. Never saw another. A few years later, I searched and got one online. I had no idea they glowed till it arrived in the post; they go an eerie green in the dark.

Coincidentally, my ghost features in a new post just above this one!

Monsters For Sale

Quote from: Anton Phibes on November 25, 2013, 01:51:57 PM
Every garage sale or yard sale I go to has nothing but crap, crap, and more crap.

I added this little fella to my dungeon for a whopping $3.96. He's great---and glows in the dark. I got him on ebay. Where--despite the item being priced less than a kid's meal at Wendy's---it had 9 watchers. Apparnelty no one else thought the little guy was worth a scant $3.96. He's called a Papo Glow ghost. Traditional ghost figure that glows in the dark for less than $4--sold! Especially since the Marvel universe 3 3/4 figures sell at WalMart for about $6.

So, either people are so cheap now its unreal---or no one has any money for $4 ghosties, lol. But I digress---here he is in all his spooky glory:

Thanks for calling attention to these.  Lots of them listed on eBay.

I popped for 2 of them.  One for me, and one to give to a sweet little trick-or-treater who will be 6 next Halloween.  She is allergic to peanuts so can't have most of the usual candy.  I make up for that by giving her toys - and she loves things that glow in the dark.

Yes, it's Peter's "Zombie" ice confection (a new variety Down Under!). I assume it was launched at Halloween? This one is "Snot" flavour: jet black cola ice-block, shaped like a tombstone, filled with lemon-flavoured, thick, greenish-yellow snot. Yum!
