Of course you grabbed up the Mork doll too! Right!?

John Pertwee

Already had the Mork. I need to find a better spot for these.

After many years of trying, I finally scored my holy grail toy - the Marx Frankenstein robot.   See the ebay listing below.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Marx-Frankenstein-Battery-operated-brown-shoes-/261237386761?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=G55BRKutFMDFDJYJjsWRR6ca3no%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Bought it from a new ebay seller who I communicated back and forth with quite a bit.  She was very nice and I feel I got this guy for a very good price.  Unfortunately she/someone in her home is/was a smoker but the odor isn't horrid.  Also unfortunately I cannot get him to work at all.  As you can see the battery cover is missing the buttons piece so I'm not sure how it should appear underneath.  If anyone can tell me if the battery controller looks right (aside from the plastic buttons piece missing) let me know.  I would also be interested in paying someone to tune him up to get him working again.  Even if he never works, I think his condition is very good and I'm happy to finally own him.

Man, congrats Jeff!! That's a grail item of mine as well!!

Yard sales are terrible in So. Cal. too. Second hand clothes and broken electronics are all I find.

Florida is the WORST. Old folks come here to DIE (or to kill YOU on the highway). When they move down here from up north, they leave everything COOL they ever owned up there. They don't want to drag all that stuff across the country when they're just going to be dead in 5 years anyway.

...and then there's the humidity...

You gotta get out of that place.

Hey, Eric Burden is dressed just like a Florida retiree.

I'm too lazy to separate out the mask and take a single shot of it, so ignore everything else in the pic, as they are not vintage monsters!   :P

I never find old Ben Cooper masks locally (or if I do they have such a high price I just ignore them).  I found this sweet King Kong mask for only $1! It still has the stapled tag inside that says King Kong, Ben Cooper 1976.
Now I know sh*t about masks, but I can't find any images online of the flesh and neon King Kong one, just the black one.  Nevertheless, it was an instant shot of cheer-up when I saw it. Sure would be awesome under blacklight. <3 it.

Ha! My little band played We Gotta Get Outta This Place as a last song at a bar in July. Some of the audience didn't think that was too cool...ha!

Scatter! You Werewolf licker! You are right! Them old folks been dropping the goods off here in Kansas for years as they travel to the elephant graveyard in Florida...ha! And I'm right there by the road to scoop it all up!

Awesome, mask. I dig the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff too!

We'll all be in the "elephant graveyard" much sooner than we expect.
If you want to view Paradise, simply look around and view it.

I scored a "Douglas Fir, the Talking Tree" at a flea market last Saturday for 5 bucks. It was still in the box, plastic wired to the cardboard, never used. How is this monster related? I intend on hacking it for a Halloween prop. Removed from the tree covering, the blinking eyes and moving mouth actuated by external sound source are perfect for giving animation to a figure. You can either use the included microphone or attach it to a sound source like an MP3 player.

Please Start another separate thread about this and show us step-by-step how you accomplish the transformation.

Sounds VERY interesting.
